Livingston Town Proper: A Concert to Benefit the Fighters of the Pine Creek Fire will raise money for firefighters in Montana who battled the devastating Pine Creek fire last August, minimizing the damage and saving the lives of everyone in the community.
The fire destroyed more than 8,500 acres of forest and farmland in and around the town of Livingston, outside of Bozeman. Hundreds of local firefighters spent weeks containing the blaze, which began on Aug. 29. Mayer owns a home in the state and credits local fire and rescue companies with saving his home and countless others. In all, only five homes -- and thankfully, no lives -- were lost.
"Without the tireless effort and dedication of the firefighters of the Pine Creek Fire, many more homes and memories would have been destroyed, mine among them," says John. "I wasn't in town when the fire broke out and I've always wished I could do my part to help, the way so many in the community did. Putting on a concert to raise some money for the departments is the least I can do for a town and a community that has welcomed me with open arms."
In addition to Zac and Clay, David Ryan Harris, Sean Hurley and Aaron Sterling will also perform at the concert, taking place at downtown Bozeman's Emerson Theater. Tickets for the Livingston Town Proper: A Concert to Benefit the Fighters of the Pine Creek Fire are available here.
The Zac Brown Band is spending much of the next few months on the road, including shows in Alabama, Kentucky and Florida. See their tour schedule here.
