"Pump Boys and Dinettes," directed by Tony winner John Doyle, is set at a roadside restaurant and gas station between Frog Level and Smyrna, North Carolina. Its storyline centers around four gas station attendants and two waitresses inside the Double Cupp Diner. The cast will pull double duty as the show's band.
This will be Bo's Broadway debut. The Alabama-bred rocker, who was the runner-up to Carrie Underwood on Season 4 of "American Idol," has released three studio albums since the show and is now working on an EP of Christian music. He and wife Caroline welcomed their fourth child in April.
