Taylor Swift: Holidays in Australia Will Be 'Non-Stop Sun'

"All I want for Christmas is a real good tan"? Sounds like Taylor Swift may be celebrating the holidays Kenny Chesney-style. The 23-year-old is spending some time this month in Australia, promoting her latest album, Red. Since Christmas is a summer holiday Down Under, the songstress plans to take advantage of the weather.

"It's gonna be non-stop sun," Taylor told reporters recently (quote via Country Weekly). "So it will be weird to have a tan around Christmas but I'm really excited about it."

The "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer will be home from Australia in time for Christmas day, which is very good news considering she was in Japan for Thanksgiving. Taylor recognizes that such sacrifices are just part of her job -- and for that, she is actually quite grateful. "It's hard work, but it's also my childhood dream," the Grammy winner notes. "I also keep a tight grasp on the fact that careers end every day. It is possible for you to say the wrong thing, do the wrong [thing], have a bad stroke of luck and it could be over, so why not appreciate every single day while you have it. Because there's no guarantee for anything."

Taylor should get a few days off before she heads out on her Red tour. The trek begins March 13 in Omaha, Neb. See more dates here.

You knwo what would be fun..drop taylor off in CAMDEN NJ 'average" housing (ahem.. LOL..AVERAGE in camden lol) and leave her there all winter...see how bright, shiny and self absrobed her songs are after that lol..I am so glad see is going rto AUSTRALIA now they wont have a sotry on her every 15 minutes..

Self-absorbed? She was named the most generous to those in need just today, clown. I've been near her and seen her halo, and if you don't think totally successful gorgeous six-foot blondes don't sample a couple boys I bet you never got laid along the way worth two dead flies on a cold turd yourself. Why are these multi-chinned diseased losers sitting at keyboards even bothering to blather here? Ten thousand journalists disect her songwriting and debate while she flies over your head in her private jet with (gasp) yes, a boyfriend. Crawl back under the bridge, troll.

I'm so sick of having this young lady put in our faces or in our ears all of the time, what has happen to country music? dont they have any other singers? what happended to Maranda, Carrie, Reba, just to name a few, Her songs are all alike, oh she's Never I mean ....Never getting back together again...oh wow
and ppl want to call her the best thing to God as a role model, come on you moms with young girls, look at the picture do you see anything wrong with it? She cant keep a boyfriend long enought to learn his zip code, I think this Lady(little Woman) has some major issues when it comes to guys, she gone thru several diffrent age groups, Harrys hes just a young kid, theses guys are just hit makers for Taylor, use them and lose them, (that should be her new moto) Now watrch out all you momma's you dont want your little girls going after guys, like their gum balls in a buble gum machine.......Where is Dr Phill when you need him? but really Taylor is a good person, she just needs to give the guys a break!
