Kellie Pickler and Keiko Napier hold a Tru Protection cell phone case that Kellie helped design
The North Carolina native has partnered with Trϋ Protection to sell a limited edition iPhone case, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and its "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" campaign. It was originally slated to only be on sale through the end of this year, but due to fan demand, it will now be available until the end of April. (Buy it here.)
"Everybody has a loved one who has been affected by cancer, and I am happy to do what I can to help raise awareness and funds to fight this disease," Kellie notes. "When Trϋ Protection approached me with the opportunity to design a special cell phone case that would benefit a cause I whole-heartedly support, how could I not? Plus, I love that Trϋ's product is American-made, using recycled materials."
Tru Protection
The 26-year-old singer-songwriter, who has participated in the Opry Goes Pink event for the last two years in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness month, feels strongly about doing all she can to help eliminate the disease.
"[We need to] take advantage of these opportunities, especially as a woman," she states. "Everything's changed for women over the years, and this being one of them. This is such a great advantage we've had in the past ... We keep drawing a light to this because there are certain things you can do to prevent things from getting out of control."
