The flick will debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is described by ABC News Radio as "an intense but humorous film." Shot in New Mexico, "Sweetwater" takes place in the late 1800s, and also features "Harry Potter" star Jason Isaacs.
The "Take a Little Ride" singer admits he isn't as confident when it comes to acting. "It's one of those things where if I do a movie, I don't even know if I'm any good," Jason said. "So, I may do one and it sucks and I'm a horrible actor, and I'll never do another one."
The Georgia native is also venturing into new territory with his upcoming Night Train tour. Jason has added several stadiums to his list of venues for the trek, and he says he is eager to step out of his comfort zone.
"I like the challenge of doing something I'm not really used to doing, because you start to get complacent sometimes when you're the playing same thing over and over and over," Jason tells The Boot. "Playing a stadium is a big adrenaline boost for me and I dig it. It keeps me on my toes and makes me revamp everything I'm doing and not get stagnant with how I approach every show, which is something I like."
Jason's Night Train tour, which includes Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett as opening acts, will kick off on Feb. 21 in Bossier City, La. See a list of his upcoming shows here.
