Miley Cyrus is paying tribute to her country roots ... and her godmother! The pop superstar-actress has posted a video of one of her summer "Backyard Sessions" with her band, with this latest boasting an impressive cover of Dolly Parton's classic hit, "Jolene." The song was a hit on country and pop radio back in 1973 -- 19 years before Billy Ray's little girl was born.
Dolly, longtime friends with Miley's dad, is the 20-year old star's godmother. "She's like a little Elvis!" the country icon once told The Boot. "What people don't realize about her is she is such a fantastic singer and songwriter. She writes songs like she's 40 years old! She's really deep. I know I'm partial, because she's my goddaughter. But I'm amazed at the talent that child has and the effect she has on people."
