"This is one of the most innovative and creative gatherings of musical talent and staff I've ever seen," says Bishop. "The young, brilliant minds and compelling musicians involved are building a new model of discovery from the street up. Everyone at HitShop is deeply committed and involved in studying the new paths music fans walk."
HitShop artists' music will be distributed by Warner Music Nashville, home to Faith Hill, Blake Shelton and several other big names in country. Bishop, who will serve as president of the label, is a big name in the music world, having held high positions at RCA Records, MCA Records and Sony Music Nashville, among other industry jobs. "Skip is one of the most savvy and creative executives in Nashville," says Warner Nashville president John Esposito. "His track record for breaking hit records is what excited us to be in business with him and his team."
