In introducing the award category, Olivia joked that Taylor's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was actually about her. So when the blond stunner came on stage to accept her award, the "Newsroom" actress frowned at the cameras. Taylor was one word into her acceptance speech when Olivia grabbed the trophy back from her. "This always happens," the singing superstar deadpanned in reaction. (Watch below.)
Taylor's quick, comedic thinking garnered a lot of laughs from the audience and big praise from a fellow winner. In fact, her clever antics with Olivia left the next award winner on the live broadcast tongue tied.
"God, Taylor Swift was super charming and I'm trying to think of something to say and it's not happening," said Adam Levine in Maroon 5's acceptance speech for Favorite Band. "She said, 'This always happens.' That's genius, by the way ... Damn you, Swift!"
