Dierks' devotion to Jake got us thinking about celebrities and their furry friends. Several country music stars are not only proud pet parents but also animal activists. Carrie Underwood is a huge supporter of the Humane Society, frequently promoting pet adoption and developing her own charitable foundation that funds an animal shelter in her Oklahoma hometown. In addition to rescuing more dogs than she can count, Miranda Lambert headlines her own Cause for the Paws event ever year, sending proceeds to no-kill animal shelters. Fellow dog rescuer Kellie Pickler has worked to help homeless and abused animals, among other four-legged charitable efforts.
