David Wilson Suicide: Mindy McCready's Boyfriend Took His Own Life

The Cleburne County Sheriff's Office in Heber Springs, Arkansas, has released 34-year-old music producer David Wilson's cause of death: suicide. The musician, boyfriend to embattled country star Mindy McCready and father of their 9-month-old son, died Sunday (Jan. 13) shortly after authorities found him with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, reports the New York Daily News.

Wilson was by McCready's side through her long, rocky road to sobriety, as well as through a bitter custody battle over her older son from a previous relationship, 6-year-old Zander. A press statement sent by the grieving singer on Monday suggests that Wilson had taken on a fatherly role in Zander's life, as well. "Today, we mourn the loss of my life partner and my children's father, David Wilson. David was my soulmate; he was a caregiver and guiding hand to our sons, Zander and Zayne," McCready writes. "He was a precious gift from God to all of us and, yesterday, he returned home and is now with his mother and father. David loved and he was loved. Those who knew and loved him will miss him; those who did not know David, missed the opportunity to know a truly loving and gifted man."
Our deepest condolences go to McCready, her sons and all of Wilson's family and friends.

Loved Mindy and was very sad when she went through what she did and stopped recording. Life moves on and while you can have kids and have someone love you? as you think unconditionally. No one can love you but you. When you love yourself more than anything, than and only than, will your children and everyone around you love you. Been there and done it. Sorry for your loss!

most of us in india follow the principles of Bhawat gita which advocate immortality of soul. all near and dear in this life belonged to some one else in the previous birth and will belong to somebody else in the births to come.you can't lose some thing that is not yours.we came in to this world alone and no one will follow us when we go.
the one who has gone will not come back.life must go on. now live for his kids.

How callous of you. He obviously had mental issues which overwhelmed him. He helped her kick her demons. Maybe he didn't take enough time on his own.

I had a son who took his own life and it was not because he was crazy or nuts or any other nasty name you give it. He was very depressed and the doctors kept giving him depression medications that did not help him. I will always think it was the medicine that caused him to take his own life. I had spoken with him on the phone just 2 weeks before this sad tragedy and he seemed happy and looking forward to coming home here with me. The next thing I knew he was gone..My son was saved and believed fully in Jesus Christ. It was not money or materialistic things that had him depressed. It was just a fact of life. Depression is a disease and there needs to be more study done on it and the medications the doctors hand out so freely.. Never make fun of suicide. You have no idea the pain it causes family members. Unless you know of someone who has ever committed suicide o even tried to then you have no right to comment your ignorance on the subject. Be respectful.. Mindy, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is devastating !

If she could have gotten trough her personal problems her kids might have had a chance in life. It is so sad to see a life snuffed out way too quickly.
