Kix Brooks, 'Moonshine Road' Video

Kix Brooks Moonshine Road VideoVEVO

Sex, swamps and speed are all themes in Kix Brooks' "Moonshine Road" video. The Louisiana native's third single from his New to This Town album is a sultry, four-minute pick-up line, delivered by a "bootlegger's son" to a "city girl." The clip follows the lyrics, with the couple being depicted through the course of their courting, from their meeting to their escape:

"Throw me the keys / Honey, take a seat / Let me show you how to drive that thing / Ridin' shotgun with a bootlegger's son / Sure to make a city girl scream / I'm gonna take you places money don't go / I'm gonna teach you what a country boy knows / Gonna cover you in diamonds and dust / Where the stars fall on moonshine road."

Meanwhile, Kix performs the song from the porch of a swamp shack with only his guitar. Then, he takes to a flat-bottom boat and glides through the water, moving further and further down the waters of "Moonshine Road."

I'm pretty sure he'll never have a solo hit.

I'm not trying to be a recording artist. But ole Kix can't figure out that Ronnie Dunn was the talent in Brooks and Dunn.
