Grammy Fashion Through the Years: Country Stars' Red Carpet Retrospective

When it comes to the Grammy Awards, no matter how high the hair (or jeans), country musicians have always been as fashionable -- and fashionably daring -- as their pop and rock counterparts. Nashville's biggest stars turn just as many heads on that Los Angeles red carpet as anyone else, whether it be for their fabulous frocks or over-the-top flops.

In celebration of this Sunday's (Feb. 10) 55th annual Grammy Awards, The Boot takes a look back from 1985 through last year's awards to bring you Grammy's biggest fashion standouts from the country music world.

Agree on Faith Hill. SHe was so thin she looked ill.....like scary ill...Idon't know and haven't heard any rumors but she needs to put a few pounds on. A fake tan doesn't hide SKINNY!!!

I agreee. Adele is so great and such a prettyface. It looked like shepulled off herdining room curtains and made a dress herself with them. Not only was the pattern insanly ugly and boringbut the cut of the dress made her look HUGE! Jlo has been born again as a 22 yearold and it's time she stop showingso much of her body for attention. Didn't she once have arecording and acting career. Now she's acting like a washed up sugar mama dieing for attention for her looks. It was bad on Angelinia, it was bad on Jaylo. Kelly Clarkstons, well lets first say the girl can sing, and I love the fact that she ishumble and gracious but when you go blond don't do it with an at home kit!! It looks like straw. No highlights at all...not flattering at all. She's prettier with darkerhairbutshe still has some strange choices that arenot flattering on a not perfect body. I like the fact that she isn'tperfect, just get a styist that can work with your body type like Miranda does. There the same size and type and Mirand knocks it out everytime. BTW I LOVE THEM BOTH.....glad to see Leeann has gained afew. Poor thing, she has taken some heat. I just don't know how onw can hang out at thebeach all day everyday and be white??????????what is the point a little color is a nice thing.. Warm up her cool tones.. She looked much better than the stick thin figure she was last year. Loved the Carrie underwood song dress...very cool....

P.S It wasn't just the Country stars that appeared in very unflattering garb. J Lo's outfit was just plain ugly.

great show....biggerst disappointment.....thought faith hill looked gaunt and aged......she is so beautiful....
either there is trouble in river city or her make up person needs to be fired.
glad adele won....love her songs
