But before the show has even started, there's another list for fashion-forward stars to consider -- and this one is sort of a "naughty" list in the form of an unintentionally hilarious cautionary memo sent out to attending artists and their representatives by the CBS-TV network's standards and practices department.
Thanks, in no small part (no pun intended) to Janet Jackson's infamous "wardrobe malfunction" of 2004 during the Super Bowl halftime show, CBS is remaining hyper-vigilant about any potential (nipple) slip-ups or other indecent exposure. In addition to "sheer, see-through clothing," attendees are advised to "please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered" and to avoid "thong type costumes" or "exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack."
Other potential offenses include obscenity on any part of the wardrobe, or lapel pins or other accessories spelling out an organized cause. Curiously, there doesn't seem to be any mention of outfits fashioned from raw meat or other perishables. Yet, we don't doubt that if she's in the house, Lady Gaga's wardrobe will be among those most heavily scrutinized.
Which brings us to our beloved country stars. Although we're certain most of them are unlikely to risk breaking any of the network's pretty specific guidelines, we wouldn't be surprised (and, yes, secretly a little delighted) if some cheeky country artist did try to flout them just a bit. (We're looking at you, Blake Shelton.)
