Mindy McCready Released from Treatment Facility, Placed In Outpatient Care

Mindy McCready has been released from a treatment facility and has been placed in 21 days of outpatient treatment.

On Wednesday, Feb. 6, the singer was ordered into a medical facility after family members questioned her ability to care for her two sons, 6-year-old Zander and 9-month-old Zayne, following the Jan. 13 death of her boyfriend, David Wilson. He was the father of her youngest son, and although initial reports had said he committed suicide, his death is still being investigated.

But day later, on Thursday, Feb. 7, doctors released her from the medical facility, placing her in outpatient treatment, E! News reports. A source explains to E!, "She was released because they think she is mentally stable enough, and she was tested for drugs and alcohol and everything came up fine. One of the reasons they released her is she didn't have any symptoms of what an alcoholic would have. There were no signs she had a problem to the doctor."

Another source adds, "Being involuntarily committed and having her children taken away from her was eye-opening. It helped her realize she needs to focus on putting her family back together and moving forward from this tragedy. She is in a better state of mind."

McCready's kids are reportedly with the Department of Human Services in Arkansas.

I pray she gets better once and for all. She needs good, positive, people around her. She needs to be strong and turn her life around, and get rid of all the negative people, the alcohol and whatever it is that keeps bringing her down. She needs to take responsibility because one day she may lose her children forever!

What a non-caring self centered nation we have become. The "it's all about me" generation has reached adulthood and it really shows how wrong their parents were for spoiling them with televisions, telephones, computers and video games while they went out to party instead of raising them correctly. Now they have children of their own and you can see the result by scrolling down and reading the comments.

You are so correct in your analogy of the generations and their armchair judging. People hurting need positive and loving support not all the negativity coming from these posts......what a truly sad world this has become.....I wish Mindy and her children the best .
