Gino DePinto, The Boot
"She knows the man I ain't / She forgives me when I can't / And the devil, man, no he don't have a prayer / She loves me like Jesus does," the North Carolina native sings in the chorus.
Penned by Casey Beathard and Monty Criswell, "Like Jesus Does" is the only song on Eric's critically-acclaimed, CMA-winning Chief album that the singer didn't co-write. But given his recent sentiments about wife Katherine, the lyrics most certainly hit home. "True love is when you love a person in spite of all their fallibilities, and I have a lot of them," the country star admits. "I'm definitely at times hard to love, and that's what's great about Katherine and the way she loves me. She loves me in spite of those things and really for those things."
