Kip Moore 'Nashville' Bound: More Stars to Play Themselves on ABC Show

Kip Moore, Vince Gill and Pam Tillis are all heading to the small screen. They're the latest celebrities set to make guest appearances on the ABC drama, "Nashville." The singers will play themselves in a scene where Deacon (played by Charles Esten) is celebrating his birthday. While Kip is happy to make his debut on the hit series, he hopes viewers realize the show doesn't necessarily portray how the real Music City operates.

"I don't think that everybody believes that's exactly how Nashville is, " says the singer (quote via ABC News Radio). "Tell people to lighten up a little bit. It's TV. You gotta put the drama in there, and you gotta do stuff entertaining for people."

Pam Tillis' connection the show is a personal one. She is close friends with "Nashville" creator, Callie Khouri, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "Thelma & Louise."

The "Nashville" soundtrack, "The Music of Nashville: Season 1 Volume 1," released in December and featuring songs performed by "Nashville's" leading actors, including Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, landed in the Top 5 on the country charts.

Kip's current tour boss, Brantley Gilbert, appeared alongside Chris Young in an episode earlier this year. Kip's episode, which will also star Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys, airs Feb. 27.

"Nashville" airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM ET on ABC.

I’m excited to hear that more real country music stars are going to guest star on Nashville. I’m particularly excited to see Kip Moore. I probably won’t be able to watch his episode live because I work at DISH when Nashville airs, but I’ll catch it on my DVR. My DISH Hopper auto-records Nashville and everything on ABC during primetime, so I won’t even have to worry about setting a timer.

LeeAnn has shown that she is NOT an obedient christian as has John Corbitt. I would never buy one item from either of them.

Sure it puts stars in there but it does not put the Indie singers in there who have recorded in Nashville and had hits overseas but not in US because in truth Nashville is a city that has people with money in it but they are greedy and would not help anyone other than themselves, could at aleast tell the truth in this ABC flick.

That would be Pam Tillis' second appearance on the show. And probably not her last, as her best friend is the producer.
Did you know that Pam was the inspiration for the movie Thelma and Louise?

Wait! I think the name of that Alan Jackson song is "I'll Go On Loving You".....long after the pleasures of the flesh, etc. Yup, That is a VERY sexy song. Who picked these songs. They need to listen to a few more CDs. Country singers sing plenty sexy songs.
