"This is something I said I would never do. They asked me for six years," Wynonna tells ABC. "I'm trying to get back to my original weight of eight pounds and six ounces ... It's the year of doing things you're scared of!"
The two singer-songwriters are up against Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman, actor-comedian Andy Dick, comedian D.L. Hughley, Olympic skating legend Dorothy Hamill, soap opera actor Ingo Rademacher, Baltimore Ravens star Jacoby Jones, reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump, boxing champion Victor Ortiz and actress-singer Zendaya Coleman.
Wynonna's professional dancing partner will be Tony Dovolani, who is the reigning champ, having won last season's "All Star" competition with Melissa Rycroft. Kellie is paired with Derek Hough, a three-time DWTS champ.
Past country artists to compete on the show include Sara Evans (Season 3) and Billy Ray Cyrus (Season 4).
"Dancing With the Stars" Season 16 premieres March 18 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
