"The song is a story about two people who rely on each other to get through the tough thing we call life," the husband and wife write on their website. "We all have someone who we can go to for encouragement, and this is our story."
The song's new video has viewers on the edge of their seats as the lovebirds are in a car crash that sends Shawna to the hospital with serious injuries. Watch below as the two act out the intense scene.
"If I Didn't Have You" is the first single from the country duo's upcoming Just Feels Good album, due in stores March 26. The poignant love song was co-written by Shawna, Keifer, Jason Sellers and Paul Jenkins.
