Taylor Swift Single Sales Reach New Plateau

Taylor Swift is officially the top-selling digital singles artist of all time, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With total downloads of 39.5 million units, the country-pop superstar also holds the record for the biggest digital-sales week ever by a female artist, thanks to the catchy "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," which sold 623,000 units for the week ending Aug. 19, 2012 and was the first release from her latest album, Red. The album's third single, "I Knew You Were Trouble," has more than three million copies in the U.S. alone.

Taylor kicked off her Red tour last night (March 13) with a sold-out show in Omaha, Neb. The songstress says the trek, which includes stops in South Carolina, Massachusetts and Ohio, as well as several shows in Canada, will keep fans entertained from start to finish.

"I love a theatrical production," she tells The Boot. "I love for you to see a different thing for each song. I love for there to be surprises -- having the audience think they're going to see one thing and then it's a completely different thing than you thought. That's a really rewarding part of putting on a show, is getting to know that the crowd got their money's worth. For the effort it took to file into the arena and find parking for their car and all that, I want them to completely, without a doubt, feel like it was worth it to come see me play."

World domination isn't so bad folks. Rather have a young six-foot blonde straddling the planet than most anyway...

Taylor isn\'t great at selling magazines. She\'s on the cover of Vanity Fair\'s April 2013 issue and I hear it\'s not selling well. In fact, she\'s been named one of the worst selling magazine cover stars of 2012

And if you check the real numbers (and gossip cop) you will find that Taylor's Magazine sales were above avg. for 2012 overall. Turns out she can sell magazines also.
