Mindy McCready Arrested Again

Mindy McCready has been arrested yet again. TMZ is reporting that the fallen songstress turned herself in to Williamson County, Tenn. police on Monday. She was charged with parole violation, after allegedly falsifying information on her community service report. Pictured here in her mugshot, the singer posted bail after two hours behind bars.

McCready has a long rap sheet, starting with a 2004 arrest for fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs. In May 2005, she was arrested for DUI and was arrested again just two months later on a string of charges, including identity theft and unlawful imprisonment, when police say she and another man stole a truck and forced another woman to accompany them on a mission to steal two luxury boats. A subsequent arrest came in July 2007, when McCready allegedly assaulted her own mother and then resisted arrest. That incident resulted in her spending four months in a Tennessee jail.

Chris Cagle Arrested for Domestic Assault

Chris Cagle has been arrested for what was apparently an alcohol-fueled fight. Both the singer and his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant, were taken to a Nashville jail early Wednesday morning on misdemeanor domestic assault charges. Police say the two were intoxicated when the argument turned physical. They say Cagle told them Tant hit him on the head with an umbrella, while Tant said Cagle hit her with her purse.

It was less than a month ago that Cagle talked to The Boot about picking up the pieces after several personal setbacks. He told us that he had "quit drinking" and "quit smoking." He also alluded to being single after a painful breakup, but said he was still searching for the right woman.

Miranda Lambert's Accuser Arrested for Lying to Police

The woman who claimed Miranda Lambert assaulted her in a Texas honky-tonk last week is now behind bars. Aisha Esbay has been charged with filing a false police report. She told police that Lambert shoved her twice after she tried to get a picture with the country star at the Bootleggers nightclub in Tyler, Texas. Lambert was at the club supporting her friend, Adam Hood, who was having a CD release party there.

After a three-day investigation, police found Esbay's assault accusations to be completely false. She's now being held at the Smith County Jail for an unknown period of time.

Country Songwriter Arrested in Death of 'SNL' Star's Dad

Nashville songwriter Richard Fagan, who has written songs for John Michael Montgomery, Clay Walker and Hank Williams Jr., has been charged with criminal homicide following the stabbing death of the father of 'Saturday Night Live' comedienne Cheri Oteri. According to Nashville's Tennessean newspaper, Tom Oteri, Fagan's manager and publisher, died Saturday night when Fagan cut his wrist with a pocket knife during an argument. Fagan was later arrested for drunk driving, and Oteri's body was discovered Sunday morning in the house where the two men lived as roommates.

Fagan's songwriting credits include Montgomery's chart-topping hits 'Sold' and 'Be My Baby Tonight,' as well as Walker's 'Only on Days That End in Y' and Williams' 'Why Don't We All Just Get a Longneck.' He also had songs recorded by Neil Diamond, George Strait and several other artists. Fagan's website says Fagan and Oteri had known each other since the mid-'70s, when both lived in Philadelphia.

Sambora was pulled over late Tuesday night in Laguna Beach, Calif., after police say they saw him driving erratically. TMZ reports that the rocker failed several field sobriety tests. Sambora has admitted to alcohol problems in the past. He briefly entered a treatment facility on two different occasions last year.

Mindy McCready Released From Jail

Fallen country star Mindy McCready has been released from jail. The 32-year-old singer was behind bars for violating her probation from a 2004 drug arrest. A subsequent arrest came last July, when McCready allegedly assaulted her mother and then resisted arrest. That incident resulted in her spending the last four months in a Tennessee jail.

McCready, known for the hits 'Ten Thousand Angels' and 'Guys Do It All the Time,' has a long history of troubles. In 2004, she pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs. In May 2005, she was arrested for DUI. Two days later, her baby's father was arrested for allegedly trying to kill her. In July 2005, McCready was hit with a long list of charges including identity theft and unlawful imprisonment, when police say she and another man stole a truck and forced another woman to accompany them on a mission to steal two luxury boats. Later that year, McCready attempted suicide twice.

Even though she's now a free woman, McCready will be on probation for another two years.
