Hit Songwriter Chris Stapleton Releases Debut Solo Single

Even if you're not familiar with Chris Stapleton by name, you've heard his music. The Grammy-nominated musician has had more than 170 song cuts by artists as diverse as Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Adele, as well as co-writing with such luminaries as Vince Gill, Peter Frampton and Sheryl Crow. But fans are about to have a chance to get more familiar with Stapleton as a solo artist; on Monday (June 17) he shipped his first solo single to radio.

'What Are You Listening To?' is Stapleton's first solo single for Mercury Nashville, and it's already receiving acclaim from noted Nashville critic Robert Oermann, who called it "sublimely soulful" and dubbed Stapleton "the Next Great Vocalist in country music...his powerful singing has always deserved its own spotlight."

Kree Harrison Calls Her Success 'The Sweet After the Bitter'

Kree Harrison hasn't been sitting around bored since placing second on 'American Idol' in May. She recently released her first single, she debuted on the Grand Ole Opry (with help from Keith Urban), and she even jumped up onstage with Wynonna Judd at a recent Nashville gig.

But life wasn't always so rosy for the 23-year-old rising country star. Harrison lost both of her parents before she was out of her teens, and in a new interview, she calls her newfound success "the sweet after the bitter."

Lady Antebellum Perform Last Live Show Before Hillary Scott's Baby Is Due

The members of Lady Antebellum took to the live stage for the last time before they break from touring at the inaugural Taste of Country Music Festival on Saturday night (June 15). The trio headlined the final night of the three-day festival at Hunter Mountain in New York, after which they are taking a break from their live schedule so Hillary Scott can prepare for the birth of her daughter in July.
