4. "The Sound of a Million Dreams" - David Nail (Songwriters: Scooter Carusoe & Phil Vassar)

David can testify with the best of them vocally when the spirit moves him, and he definitely knows his way around a soulful lyric. So the aching honesty and sincerity of "The Sound of a Million Dreams," a song dedicated to the dreamer in every singer reaching for those impossible stars, seemed tailor-made for the vocal stylist who's carved out a name for himself with mid-tempos full of angst like "Let it Rain" and "Red Light." The quiet, understated production of the tune enhanced its lyrical message and enabled David's vocals to shine through in his emotion-packed delivery.
