Carrie is another "American Idol" winner who didn't let instant fame trump her education. America first fell in love with this Oklahoma talent while she was a senior at Northeastern State University in her home state. The then-22-year-old made sure to finish her studies, earning a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. The icing on the diploma: she graduated magna cum laude.
