Back to Country Stars Who Can Act
Dolly Parton
Gregg DeGuire, FilmMagic
While Dolly Parton's music has become a part of American history, so have her films. Her first movie, which was released in 1980, mixes her two passions, as she not only co-starred in the film, but she voiced its famous theme song, 'Nine to Five.' This Tennessee girl sassed her way into our hearts again with "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and "Steel Magnolias." Most recently, she co-starred with Queen Latifah in the dramedy, "Joyful Noise."
