Kelly Clarkson, the original 'American Idol,' spent much of last year on tour with Reba McEntire, as well as settling into her new home in Nashville. So the speculation about a future country album from the pop princess was inevitable. But will she add fiddle and steel to her repertoire anytime soon?

"I never know what I'm gonna do in the future, but I grew up loving country music. It's one of the things that's been really close to me," Clarkson tells Popeater. "I did a lot of country events, so I think people were thinking I was gonna [record a country album]. But the thing I love about pop music is that you can kind of incorporate any style you want ...There's always gonna be those influences in my music, but I'll probably never just do one thing. I would be bored out of my mind."

The first 'American Idol' winner hit it off so well with Reba McEntire when they taped a 'CMT Crossroads' in 2007 that she wound up touring with the country diva, being managed by her husband and recording a chart-topping duet of 'Because of You.' She may not be done. In an AIM interview for AOL Music, Clarkson described her next project as "country meets blues meets rock."

Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson are teaming up again -- this time for a tour. The country legend and pop star's '2 Worlds 2 Voices' tour will kick off January 17 in Dayton, Ohio, making 15 stops before wrapping on February 16 in Kansas City, Mo. McEntire and Clarkson have been friends since Clarkson's 'American Idol' days when they sang together on the show. Their current duet, 'Because of You,' hit No.2 on the country charts last month. Clarkson also recently left her management team to sign with McEntire's husband, Narvel Blackstock.

In other country tour matchups, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood have announced their 24-city 'Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride' tour (named after both of their current albums), which begins January 31. And Kenny Chesney recently tapped LeAnn Rimes to open shows on his 2008 'Poets and Pirates' tour.

Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire are teaming up once again. As their new duet 'Because of You' burns up the country charts, the ladies have announced they're now in business together. Clarkson has signed on with McEntire's Starstruck Entertainment and will be personally managed by McEntire's husband, Narvel Blackstock. This announcement comes on the heels of Clarkson's decision to leave her longtime management team at The Firm.
