Taylor Swift's enigmatic, seemingly mercurial love life has been at the forefront of nearly every interview the singer has given since well before the release of her latest album, Red, so it's no surprise that the singer's conversation with Parade magazine touches on all things romance-related, including the 22-year-old's inclination to be drawn to bad boys -- and yes, true to form, Taylor continues to avoid naming names!

"There's a really interesting charisma involved," Taylor tells Parade. "They usually have a lot to say, and even if they don't, they know how to look at you to say it all. I think every girl's dream is to find a bad boy at the right time, when he wants to not be bad anymore."

No matter what type of guy she finds herself falling for, Taylor admits it usually happens at lightning speed.

"I don't think there's an option for me to fall in love slowly, or at medium speed," she explains. "I either do or I don't. I don't think it through, really, which is a good thing and a bad thing. You don't look before you leap, which is like, 'Yay, this is awesome! Let's not think twice!' And then you're like, 'We used to be flying. Now we're falling. What's happening?'"

Taylor also reveals the half-dozen people she calls when she needs advice: "My mom. And then my friend Ashley and my friend Claire and my friend Emma [Stone] and my friend Abigail and my friend Selena [Gomez]. It's like six calls as soon as something happens. They've had different experiences, so they give different advice. And I kind of pick the [advice] I want. [laughs]"

With the Christmas holiday coming, the young entertainer, who grew up on a Pennsylvania Christmas farm, is happily looking forward to getting out her heavy sweaters, scarves and warm coats. She'll also be spending time in the kitchen, where one of her specialties is raspberry jam.

"When I was younger we had a grape arbor," she notes. "My mom would go out and pick grapes and make grape jam in the sink -- boil it, put it in jars and give it away as gifts. So I started making raspberry jam and it is so good. You can put it on anything; you can dip pretzels into it. I don't mean to brag, but it's so good you could just eat it with a spoon."

Taylor is currently in Australia promoting Red.
